My father in law, who is a machinist, made an add-on pulley that mounts to the original 3 1/8" Singer pulley. This new pulley is a whopping 12". This coupled with my new 1.5" motor pulley lowers the ratio from 1:1, to 1:8 and drops the maximum head pulley speed from 3400 RPM to around 450 RPM.
